General information

We are Jonathon & Lindy Thompson: We’ve worked hard to build and launch Outline Industries as a premiere, all-American stencil and sign company. Jonathon got his start in the asphalt industry both in the field and in the office as an estimator. When the economic pressure impacted the company that he was working for in 2009, he was laid off. The very next day, Jonathon was on a job-site with his parking lot striper painting a job for the same company that laid him off. Jonathon and Lindy worked together as parking lot and road-way painters for 18 months before they started producing stencils.

The production of stencils came from necessity. The Thompson’s did a lot of work that required custom, one-off stencils; the cost involved with getting these stencils was killing their profit margin. Jonathon decided to purchase a machine that would cut stencils out of various plastic products for himself. He cut stencils and made signs for his own company for almost 6 months before his paint supplier asked if they could sell his stencils in their store. Outline Industries was born.

Outline Industries pride themselves on holding true to the circumstances that presented the opportunity for Outline Industries to become what it is today. Offering a higher quality product at a better price will always be their goal. Offering a product to contractors at a price that won’t destroy their profit margins is what Outline does. Finally, they offer an easier process for their customers. Outline Industries is dedicated to making sure their customers get what they want, when they want it , without the hassle.

Outline Industries next step forward will be to distribute a product to re-sellers and whole-sellers, alike, at a price that makes and saves everyone money.The Thompson's believe that America can once again be a sustainable, industrial country and they’re doing our part to work in that direction. All of their products are created in their American production factories and it's promised that will always be the case. The material used is extruded in American factories and Outline promises that will always be true. These are truly All-American products coming straight from an All-American, family owned business.
