As a teen, I purchased some essential oils from a health-food store to use as a perfume. I wasn't exactly impressed. So, when my father-in-law started trying essential oils, I was more than a little skeptical. It wasn't until I had my own positive experience.

You see, I was having a horrible "PMS"-type day. You know, the kind that it doesn't matter what anyone says - you can't help but "bite their heads off". My father-in-law suggested that I try just a dab of this special essential oil blend. Yeah right! What good was an expensive perfume going to do for my attitude?

However, Mark pleaded with me to just try the stuff. Maybe it would help, he said. Whatever! But to please him, I practically grabbed the oil and put a very small amount on my neck.

It smelled great! My first thought was, Ok, it would at least be a nice perfume.

15 minutes later, I was crying my eyes out. I felt like a very heavy burden had just been lifted off of my shoulders. I was SO relieved! I was immediately hooked!

I started experimenting with these essential oils and found that they actually worked better than most of the herbs that we were using. I finally decided to listen to the tape, as well as read a couple of books on aromatherapy. I then realized why these essential oils were working so much better than the herbs - essential oils are the LIFE of the plant. They contain all of the "active ingredients" that are lost when the herbs are dried. Whoa!

That's when I started sharing these oils with others. The more positive experiences that I see others having - the more I want to share. Not just any essential oils though. Because, it turns out that I was right - the oil that I had purchased from the health-food store was truly nothing better than perfume.
