General information

Soul Nutrition is run by Katie Sheen, who has been using mindfulness in her own life for over 16 years. She studies in the tradition of Zen Master and Peace Activist Thich Nhat Hanh, though her teaching is suitable for those of all faiths or none.

Katie has a Masters degree in Education, a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy. She also has a Foundation Science Degree in Nutritional Therapy, and is registered with the Department of Health approved Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Katie is also a Member of the British Neuro-Oncology Society, Associate Member of the Holistic Psychology Faculty, Division of Clinical Psychology at The British Psychological Society, and Senior Associate Member of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Fascinated by how mindfulness can enhance well-being, Katie has delivered workshops and seminars on this and related topics for a number of corporate clients including Adidas, Deloitte, Barclays, Barclaycard and Greater Manchester Police. She has worked in academic settings including the Masters Science degree in Nutritional Therapy at the University of Worcester and CPD events for Lamberts Healthcare. Her private practice ‘Soul Nutrition’ is based at Amaranth Health and Wellbeing Clinic in Bramhall, Cheshire, winners of the CAM Clinic of the Year 2010.
