Oil City Press Ltd. has been providing quality printing services since 1953, and has grown from a small shop to one of the finest printing companies in the industry, employing 25 full-time staff in its owned facility. The company has received wide recognition with gold, silver and bronze in the International Gallery of Superb Printing Awards competing with over 3,000 entries from 9 countries. Oil City Press Ltd. has also received the Consumer’s Choice Award for excellence in commercial printing for ten consecutive years. That same pride and dedication is nurtured within the company’s workforce, and is demonstrated by the ‘Average Years of Service Per Employee’, which has increased to 14.

From a dream in Winnipeg, to reality in Calgary, Ron Kletke Sr. and his son, Ron Jr. purchased the company, and its reputable name, in 1963.

The solid values on which the company was founded, and the quality service Oil City Press Ltd. continues to provide have enabled the company to adapt to the changing needs of customers, excel as a family based business and weather all economic climates.

Oil City Press Ltd. now offers a full range of in-house superior quality offset, large format, digital printing and finishing options.

In 2006, Oil City Press Ltd. celebrated the installation of the fully-automated Heidelberg Suprasetter Platesetter, followed in 2007 with the Heidelberg Speedmaster CD74, a 6-colour press with coater. Capable of processing sheets measuring 23.82” x 29.13”, the CD74 runs at a top speed of 18,000 sph, on stocks up to 0.8mm thick.

Oil City Press Ltd.’s HP Z6100 DesignJet Plotters feature higher resolution output and a broader colour range than their predecessors, and our 2 Ricoh C751EX printers are ideal for high-quality output on short-run projects.

In 2010, Oil City Press Ltd. ventured into the large format printing market. The first acquisition was the Fuji Acuity Advance UV Digital Flatbed Printer, which boasts the ability to print on a wide variety of substrates. The large format market has proved beneficial for Oil City Press Ltd. To further expand our capabilities, another large format print machine was purchased in 2014 – the Epson SureColor S50670 Digital Printer. This large format eco-solvent printer is able to produce quality output at high speed. These two printers, along with the Esko Kongsberg Digital Cutter, provide the perfect tools for creating vivid, large-format interior and exterior retail signage, in virtually any shape and size.
