Founded in 1997 in Quebec City, CO2 Solutions Inc. is a leading innovator in the field of enzyme enabled carbon capture and is actively working to validate at pilot scale and commercialize its technology for power plants and other large stationary sources of carbon pollution. In this process, CO2 Solutions has built an extensive portfolio of issued and pending patents covering the use of the enzyme, carbonic anhydrase, or analogues thereof, for post-combustion carbon capture, including the kinetic enhancement of low-energy amine, amino acids, and carbonate solutions for efficient CO2 absorption and regeneration.
