The studio offers classes for youth, teen and adults. A mosaic class is offered on Fridays. Home school and Private classes can be scheduled on an individual basis and will be a progressive type art class or the lessons can focus on a particular medium of your choice. . The cost of the lessons are determined by the class type.
The classes will teach students to understand and use the elements of art and principles of design. The students will learn drawing techniques, composition, emphasis, value, form, shape, space, texture, two and three dimensional perspective drawing, light and color theory, portrait, and figure drawing. Art history, painting styles, and use of different mediums will be incorporated throughout the lessons. The different mediums taught will include water color, water color pencils, color pencil, markers, oil pastels, soft pastels, acrylic and oil Painting, charcoal, mosaics, candle making, stained glass, sculpture, printing techniques (linoleum and woodblock) and Japanese ink painting. Because of the wide range of ages taught, the classes are divided by age group and will be given age appropriate projects and the instructor will help each student develop their creativity utilizing the techniques and medium provided to complete the project assigned.
