On the 300th anniversary of this fateful voyage, Pirates, Privateers and Treasure Hunters of all ages will gather in Vero Beach to begin the annual commemoration of the loss of the 1715 Treasure Fleet in a fun-filled and family friendly celebration of piracy to be better known as the Vero Beach Pirate Festival.
This 3-day event will showcase more than 150 vendor booths and exhibits, historical reenactments, period correct wares and entertainment. The unique festival will also explain how the Treasure Coast got its name as well as bringing the community together by honoring and providing awareness of the most tragic maritime disaster of the era to ensure it will never be forgotten. The Vero Beach Pirate Festival is hosted by Pirates of the Treasure Coast and the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce.
