General information
The Sculpture Project: Passage of Wind and Water is a large-scale public art project in Main Street Square in downtown Rapid City. Stone sculptor Masayuki Nagase is carving his design depicting the natural history of the Black Hills and Badlands of Western South Dakota into the 21 granite pieces on site beginning summer 2013. Nagase trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tokyo and has worked internationally as a stone sculptor for 30 years.
