Villa Rousa

General information

Villa Rousa are 2 comfortable holiday luxurious villas on a slope above the bay of Rethymnon, just outside Loutra village, in the western half of Crete.Both villas are two-storey, built in a maisonette style with an internal staircase and cover approximately 200 sqm each. The villas where built and completed on the fall of 2008 but didn't start fully operating until the summer of 2014.Each villa has it's own private swimming pool and a natural stone wall separates them from the road. The garden has lawn, flowers and other ornamental plants.There is also barbeque facilities. At dusk the lamps in the swimming pools can be switched on and off individually. There is also a private parking place towards the road where 3 cars can park comfortably.On the ground floor of each villa there is a dining area with dining table and 8 chairs, an open-plan kitchen with table and 6 chairs, a living room with a large corner couch set and a bathroom with shower and a washing machine. In front of each living room there is a covered terrace with garden furniture with view to the village, the olive trees, the sea and the bay of Rethymnon. On the back of each kitchen there is another terrace with garden furniture and view of a private church, olive trees, Psiloritis mountain and Lefka Ori.The living rooms cover satellite color TV sets, DVD and CD players and open fireplaces.The kitchen equipment is modern and very comprehensive. It includes electric hobs with 4 plates, ovens, microwave ovens, integrated refrigerators/freezers, toasters and coffee-makers.On the first floor of each villa there are three bedrooms, two with double-bed and a third with two single beds. The master bedroom has a bathroom with a bathtub. Each one of the other two bedrooms have a bathroom with shower. Each bedroom has a covered balcony (on the eastern villa the eastern most balcony has a wooden pergola, while on the western villa the western most balcony has a wooden pergola) with garden furniture.Views range far over the bay and the sea, towards Cape Drapanon as well as from the rear (the single beds room) to Psiloritis Mountain and Lefka Ori.LOCATION: Loutra is a picturesque small village in the eastern part of the bay of Rethymnon. It is situated among olive trees in the peace and quiety of nature. It is 11 km outside Rethymnon on the way to the historical monastery of Arkadi, from which it distances 9 km. The sea is only 2,5 km away, and so is the new national road that connects Rethymnon to Heraklion.Arsani monastery, another historical monastery that is still populated, is just 2 km away on the way to the sea.There is a public bus service from Rethymnon to Loutra and backwards every 15-20 minutes.The village has a bakery shop and a Kafenio and the nearest supermarket is 1 km away at the neighboring village of Pigi that has a couple of restaurants as well. Many supermarkets, tourists’ shops, restaurants, bars and clubs are in Adelianos and Pigianos Campos by the sea at 3 km from the villas.Heraklion airport is 79 km away and Chania airport 82 km.FURNISHING:All bedrooms cover satellite TV, have large fitted wardrobes and separate air conditioning that can be switched to heating mode during chilly nights or in winter.Furthermore in wintertime the houses are provided with individual central heating (per floor).The living rooms are equipped with satellite TV sets, DVD and CD player and open fireplaces.Each house has a washing machine and hair dryers inside the bathrooms. Irons and boards are available as well.Solar water heating with auxiliary electric heating is also provided. Both water and electricity are included in the rates.EXCURSIONS:-Visit the old village of Loutra with the old Turkish krini by the small river that passes by the village.-Visit the historical monasteries of Arkadi and Arsani.-Visit the old town of Rethymnon
