sv OBW is opgericht in 1945. In dat jaar besloten een aantal mannen uit de buurtschap Ooy opnieuw in verenigingsverband de voetbalsport uit te oefenen in Zevenaar.
sv OBW heeft ruim 900 leden en bestaat uit een voetbal- & een handbaltak. Het eerste voetbalelftal speelt in de 3e klasse zondag (seizoen 2012/2013).
Het eerste dames handbalteam speelt in de 1e klasse. Het eerste heren handbalteam speelt in de Eerste Klasse.
