General information
Sinds 1875 wordt maritiem onderwijs verzorgd op Terschelling. In de loop der jaren is het instituut uitgegroeid tot één van de best uitgeruste nautische en technische instituten in Nederland.
Het MIWB beschikt over een eigen campus voor huisvesting van de studenten.
Sinds 2003 beschikt het MIWB over het eigen opleidingsvaartuig de "ms Octans".
Wekelijks worden oefentochten gemaakt, zowel t.b.v. de opleiding Maritiem Officier als Ocean Technology.
