Stichting De Groene Vesting zet zich vrijwillig in om samen met diverse netwerkpartners de Linie van Frederik Hendrik uit 1629 rond de stad weer zichtbaar en beleefbaar te maken en te houden.
Letterlijk door het organiseren fiets- en wandelroutes met informatie over de onderdelen van de Linie, die duidelijk, soms minder duidelijk in het landschap aanwezig zijn.
Figuurlijk door kennis over de linie te ontwikkelen en te verspreiden en door zeer uitlopende activiteiten en projecten met de linie te verbinden.
