Le French Sumo est un trio créé en 1996 pour interpréter un répertoire puisé dans le Jazz Mainstream, Swing ( Monty Alexander, Oscar Peterson), Latin Jazz ( Michel Camilo, Sonny Rollins) ainsi que dans les standards français ( Michel Legrand, Claude Nougaro, Gilbert Bécaud ) auxquels ils apportent une fraîcheur et une dynamique nouvelle par des arrangements originaux ou choisis.
