Cheaper and more ecological than exploring by bus, car or scooter, and faster and more comfortable than walking, the folks at Funky Cycle provide one of the best ways to get around Barcelona: by rickshaw. Their comfortable vehicles (check out those padded seats!) carry up to three people, and what's more the very person providing your pedal power also doubles as a knowledgeable guide to the city... so you learn as you move! A typical tour with Funky Cycle utilises a mixture of bike lanes, roads, pavements and promenades to get you to top sights like Las Ramblas, Sagrada Familia, Parc de la Ciutadella and the beaches at Barceloneta and Port Olimpic. But they'll take you wherever you want to go, be it near or far. Either book in advance via their website or hail down a ride on the Passeig de Colom. You can expect to pay 7 euros per 15 mins per person. Funky Cycle's team speak Spanish, German, French, Italian, Polish and more, and their rickshaws and drivers are also available for corporate events or group hire.
