Esistono diverse discipline di gioco: singolo, doppio, triplo sia maschile che femminile ed il doppio misto.
Nel singolo sono permessi solo 2 tocchi prima di rimandare il volano nel campo avversario, mentre nel doppio e nel triplo i tocchi per squadra hanno un massimo di 4 e un giocatore può farne non più di 2 consecutivi.
La versione "freestyle" del gioco consiste nel palleggiare il volano, sempre con la sola esclusione delle mani, disegnando fantastiche figure nell'aria...
Non esistono limiti alla fantasia e all'abilità del freestyler !
