We at Chester Paint Stripping are a company based in Saughall on the outskirts of Chester, on the Cheshire & North Wales border.

We are located on a farm with ample parking, so no yellow lines or parking charges.

We provide a complete paint stripping service for doors, furniture, fireplaces, gates, spindles, architraves with local pick up and delivery. We offer a reliable service and will advise on the likelihood of any items that can’t or shouldn’t be stripped.

Antique Fireplaces

The vast majority of our fires date from 1840 to 1940 covering the Victorian, Arts & Crafts, Edwardian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. Designs include cast iron tiled inserts, arched inserts, tiled combinations, cast iron combinations, surrounds in oak, pine, slate, marble and cast iron. We have a vast range of different sizes that would complement any room.

We don’t claim to have the largest selection of reclaimed fires in the country, but with 500 fires in stock, 200 of which are fully restored and on display, there’s plenty to choose from. We continually update stock from hundreds of reclaimed cast iron fireplaces awaiting restoration. We also offer a restoration service on your fireplaces and have many spare parts available.

We boast extremely competitive prices and not the over inflated prices on some websites. We offer friendly advice on size, style and fitting and a full fitting service is available locally. We are open Monday to Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm and Sundays by appointment only. We have weekly deliveries throughout the North West with occasional trips to London, surrounding areas including M6, M1 and the M40 corridor.
