General information

Good Designs was started in the 1990’s by David Good, a Chartered Engineer, who designed his adjustable bicycle stabilisers particularly for the disabled market. He called these products “Adjustabilisers” – they are fully adjustable, and are repositioned as the cyclist gains more confidence and balance skills.

David Good has decided it is time to retire but was concerned that these products, which have helped so many less able children (and adults!) to learn to ride a bicycle, would continue to be available well into the future.

Val and James Muff have agreed to take over and their aim is to keep these products available to give all potential cyclists the ability to learn to ride a bike.

Val has experience of children with hemiplegia and has previously worked on the helpline for the charity HemiHelp for many years. James has recently retired from a technical/sales role in the chemical industry and hopes to utilise some of the skills he has learnt over the years to help promote these products to a wider audience. They have both also assisted at various workshops organised by HemiHelp.

Val and James are very keen to see that Adjustabilisers continue to be available to potential cyclists and hope to expand the business, possibly to include overseas markets.
