The Academy of Advanced Beauty is one of the UK's leading aesthetic and beauty training providers. We teach a selection of accredited and recognised courses, offering a bespoke Beauty Therapy level 3 foundation course as well as eleven level 4 courses in non-invasive aesthetic treatments.

Barbara Freytag, our Principal at the Academy of Advanced Beauty, is a highly trained radiographer, having worked in Poland’s top heart transplant team in the early stages of her career. Now one of the UK’s best-known aesthetic and beauty training practitioners, specializing in treatments utilizing Ultrasound, Radio Frequency and other non-invasive technology, Barbara founded the Academy of Advanced Beauty in 2009 and works closely with leading insurance companies and regulatory bodies. Barbara wrote the first wave of non-invasive treatment courses, and was one of the first people to write courses on Acoustic Wave Therapy and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound.

As most new aesthetic technology has migrated from the medical world, Barbara’s medical experience has given her a considerable edge in writing courses explaining detailed core knowledge behind the treatments, what makes the treatment effective, and how to get the best results, safely. Concentrating on training students to really understand the treatment rather than selling any particular machine, has enabled Barbara to stay independent.

The combination of her medical background and nearly 10 years of experience in the industry makes Barbara one of the best known trainers in the aesthetics sector, having spoken at over 60 events since founding the Academy. Her emphasis and focus on good technique, client consultation and care, correct machine operation and safety are what make Barbara and the Academy of Advanced Beauty unique.
