General information

Whatever your age, if you wish to improve your English then this is the course for you. Age is no limit to learning so come and have fun!

We cater for both under-18 year olds and adults. Parents need have no worries if they wish their children to attend. We pick our guests up from their local arrival point (in Liverpool or Manchester) and ensure they are safe during their stay until we drop them off and wave goodbye on their return home.

Having gauged your level of competence in English before your stay, fifteen hours of tuition per week of your stay will have been carefully planned in order to maximise your time with us. Any particular areas of the language you wish to concentrate on will have been highlighted by the questionnaire you will have completed before arrival.

As our guest, you will normally arrive on the Sunday evening in order to settle into your new ‘home’ and relax before your tuition begins. With prior arrangement, it may be possible to welcome you on a more suitable day but this cannot be guaranteed.

Tuition normally takes place after breakfast from Monday to Friday from approximately 09:00 each morning. You will NOT be part of a group of students, all speaking their native language as soon as the lessons have ended; instead, you will benefit greatly from your unique experience of one-to-one tuition – and all in English. All writing materials will be provided. You may find it useful to bring an English dictionary for your own language.If you wish, your evenings and weekends are free to explore Liverpool and its surroundings or you can simply relax with the family. Remember, Liverpool is an exciting city and there is always something to do.
