We’re a Macclesfield-based firm, offering individual and business clients a highly professional and approachable service.

We’ve been around in one form or another for over 150 years, with the roots of our firm being traced back to the mid-19th Century. Charles Blunt, himself, was in partnership in Macclesfield in the mid 1850s and by 1881 had been appointed coroner for the area. In addition, some of the solicitors who have served here have included members of the well-known Brocklehurst family of Swythamley Hall.

On the private client side, we’ve been providing a full range of legal services, including conveyancing, wills, powers of attorney, family law and probate. The idea of the ‘family solicitor’ is one we put great importance on and we are proud to say that we continue to act for many clients several generations after their predecessor’s first contact with us.

On the commercial side, we help business owners throughout the North West with commercial property, commercial dispute resolution, commercial contract advice and agreements, employment, company acquisitions and disposals. We see our role as helping businesses make wise decisions about their organisation, property, opportunities for growth and their agreements with staff, customers and suppliers.

As you can imagine, preventing a legal problem is a much more cost effective approach than having to resolve one, so we are always keen to offer a proactive and consultative approach. Investing in property is a big decision and like all major decisions comes with a certain level of stress, so we are here to advise, support and assist you through every step of the conveyancing process.

We are an accredited member of the Law Society Approved Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) and are panel members of all mainstream lenders. In fact, we we were one of the first firms in Cheshire to achieve this accreditation.
