Hancocks Cycles is a family bike shop. Started by Mr Hancock in 1928 but in those days Hancocks sold lots of other items like radios, paint, wallpaper and a few bike bits aswell when he retired in 1962 A local couple George and Francis Rook took over and during the next 5 years transformed Hancocks into a cycle shop. Offering all the sevices of a cycle shop you would expect.
In 1992 George and Francis decided to retire and handed the shop over to there son Martin, who is still the present owner today.
We're still here after all these years getting more bums on saddles and kids off stabilisers. We love it.
Everyone at Hancocks Cycles love cycling but won't bamboozle you with science. We all enjoy cycling in our leisure time and it not only keeps us fit and healthy, but also keeps us up to date about cycling for REAL people! We are mums and dads, fair weather cyclists, hard core BMXers, mountain bikers, fixie riders and roadies. We are normal people and that's how we know what you will need when you're out there on your bike. We care about cycling and want to make it enjoyable for as many people as possible.
We'd like the opportunity to give you advice about cycling and not only sell you a bike, but help you to look after your bike and to enjoy riding it for years to come.

We carry out repairs on any make of bike from fitting a new inner tube to a full service or custom build. Our friendly, experience staff are available to advise you on any problems you may be experiencing and free estimates are given.
