As 'A House For His Presence,' Cornerstone Church has 3 key aims. These come out of our understanding that everything we do and are is inspired and rooted in the presence of God. We aim to be:

Cornerstone Church is a Church of England parish church which was founded in 1998 when both St Paul's Leyton and St Catherine's Leytonstone joined forces to become a local spiritual powerhouse and social heart for our community. The name 'Cornerstone' is one of the titles given to Jesus as he is the foundation upon which human life should be built. We aim to be a place where all can come, no matter how difficult life has been, and find hope and life and joy in Jesus.
