Jessica Birth Classes

General information

Jessica's birth classes are friendly classes with a holistic approach for mums-to-be, new mums and couples in Stoke Newington.

Jessica has been teaching pregnancy yoga, childbirth preparation and postnatal classes in Hackney for nearly 30 years. She trained as an NCT, Active Birth teacher and doula and now teaches independently in her attic Stoke Newington, offering a package through pregnancy, birth and baby bonding.

Her passion is linking up the amazing physical and emotional changes of parenthood. She helps pregnant women and their partners be active during birth, by practicing positions and breathing and informing about your choices so you can get the best experiences possible.

The classes don't end at the birth. They continue with mothers and babies, where the aim is to create a non-competitive environment and the focus is on sharing experiences, learning about baby development and practicing baby yoga.

Jessica also trained as a parent-infant group psychotherapist and works in community settings such as a hostel for homeless families. She represented users on the City and Hackney maternity services committee for many years and wrote a guide to local maternity services.

She contributes to books and journals on the topic of birth and early parenting and trains professionals in this field.
