Palace Barracks Memorial Garden was designed and maintained as a place of remembrance for nearly 24 years on a voluntary basis by Albert D.Owens the Memorial Custodian, for those bereaved families and friends of members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force.Plus A memorial Stone for those men and women of the Royal Ulster Constabulary George Cross, as well as the RUC Flag
The Memorial Custodian also designed the 16 Air Assault Brigade Memorial Garden Colchester, 1 Para SFSG Memorial Gardens in Wales 321 EOD Northern Ireland ,as well as countless other memorials
9,575 Servicemen and Women are remembered with pride and honour in the Memorial Gardens and we fly 19 flags of different regiments as well as the RUC GC. you can find our more on our memorial garden website as well as pages on facebook.
