General information

To achieve our heartfelt environmental aim of minimising our carbon footprint and increasing sustainability, we use biodegradable card and paper packaging and solar energy.

We meet our social aims in the community through Gospel Messenger, our small voluntary service that supports disadvantaged people here in Grimsby and also in Latvia.

Our inspiration comes from a wonderful event that happened just after Easter about 2,000 years ago... Following the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, his heartbroken fishing industry friends went back to their old profession.

One night they returned to shore without any fish. It was then, when they had least expected it and without knowing that it was him, Jesus said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some."

Not only did they find 153 large fish, but they also found it was none other than Jesus himself standing on the shore. He said, "Come and have breakfast", and it wasn't just cornflakes or toast, but rather freshly grilled fish and bread!

This is so marvellous and humbling, all at the same time. It encourages me, when I don't feel like cooking breakfast for other people. Jesus led by example, achieved what no one else ever could, became the world's first resurrected man to receive eternal life, and yet he was the one cooking and serving the food!

Wow! I'll gladly follow a lovely man like that. Perhaps you would too? The good news is, he equally cares for us today, he's available 24/7 and he loves to hear from us...
