The Woven Fence is run by Dominic, an independent craftsman with a passion for beautiful, sustainable, and hand crafted pieces that enhance a landscape and stand the test of time. Dominic uses his skills in weaving to produce a range of structures from big, statement fences to smaller screens, rose arches and garden borders. He also specialises in the art of hedgelaying.
Dominic uses natural products and traditional techniques when cultivating, coppicing, hand cutting and weaving. In keeping with his deep consideration of sustainability, all the willow, hazel, and timber that Dominic uses comes from sustainable sources.
Every job that Dominic undertakes is unique and in developed in collaboration with the client. It is integral to Dominic’s vision that the structure that he creates responds to the landscape that it is created for and in. He is happy to follow a customer’s vision but also to advise on sizing, placement and finishing options. He greatly enjoys working with customers to create a finished piece that is not only functional but that truly enhances its environment.
