INFORMATION SHEET ON CLASSES HELD

BALLET

Classes are held for children from the age of three and upwards following the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) method. Classes for younger children are quite freely based introducing the basic principals of Ballet, and as they progress they become more structured. From the age of six and upwards children have the opportunity to enter the Royal Academy of Dance examinations, and all grades may be studied and entered for right up to the Advanced examination.

BEGINNERS CLASSES (3 – 5 YEAR OLDS)
These classes are held on Saturday afternoons from 2.00 to 4pm.

JUNIOR / SENIOR SCHOOL (6 – 18+)
These classes are held Monday to Friday after school hours.

TAP DANCING

Classes are held on Saturday mornings for children aged 5 and upwards. Classes follow the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) method, and children may be entered for their medal test examinations for which they receive medals and trophies. As they progress to a higher standard they may also enter for their professional examinations.

JUNIOR CLASSES (5 YEAR OLDS AND UP)
These classes are held on Saturday mornings from 11.55 – 12.55.

SENIOR CLASSES (APPROX. 10 YEAR OLDS AND UP)
These classes are held on Saturday mornings from 10.55 – 11.55.

OTHER CLASSES

These take place on a Monday evening and are non-syllabus classes aimed at improving technique, fitness and enjoyment.

5-6pm - Jazz/Street dance (for ages 8 and upwards)
6-7pm - Contemporary dance (for ages 8 and upwards)
7-8pm - Adults ballet
8-9pm - Adults tap

STUDIO INFORMATION:- The dance studio is lovely and bright and sunny, with fixed barres and
mirrors and a sprung wooden dance floor.

TRAVEL INFORMATION:- Bus W7 stops right outside from either Muswell Hill, Finsbury Park
or Crouch End. Busses W3 and 144 also stop close by, at the foot of
Muswell Hill (across the road).

EXTRA INFORMATION:- Each term is 10 weeks long plus a weeks half term with reasonable
rates of fees.
