General information
William C. Kelday is an established instrument maker of 25 years experience specialising in the guitar family and violoncello. He set up the instrument making course at Anniesland College in 1989 where he still teaches part time. Past students include many of today's well known instrument makers.
Sheena Laurie specalises in the making and restoration of the violin family. Having graduated at Newark School of Violin Making, she then worked in one of London's premier violin shops as a restorer. Thereafter she lived and made instruments in Italy before returning to Scotland to join The Fiddle and Guitar Shop.
The workshop name is derived from the original "Fiddle and Guitar Shop" in Campsie Glen where Bill worked with the wonderful Neil Baird, violin maker and restorer, who also hand painted the sign which we still use today.
