General information
Since its inception in design and production of Marine Diesel Engines in Halberstadt, Germany, in 1951, MBH has added to its references over 15 Cogeneration Power Plants, and constituted a range of Power Generation products including diesel Engines, Alternators and Generating Sets which operate on different fuel types such as Diesel, Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), Crude Vegetable Oil (CVO) and Gas. The Conversion Modules constitute MBH´s most recent technological innovation, allowing conventional Diesel engines to operate on Crude Vegetable Oil.
1951: Company was founded
1955: Production start of horizontal and vertical compressors
1952 - 1963: Production of engines type 4NVD38, later followed with the 6NVD36, 8V44 engines and serial production of the NVD66 and first export orders. Total of 670 diesel engines have left the factory.
1963 - 1984 Production of 285 MAN engines under license
1975: Launch and SOP of new own designed engine VD 48/42
1990: Privatization, and start of the VDG 42/48 engine design
1993: First co-generation plant CHP was put in operation.
1997: MBH reach 2000 MW of total engine power output worldwide.
2003: Development of the conversion module to allow operation on Crude Vegetable Oils.
2007: MBH joined the SAKR Group.
2017: MBH becomes part of the Energy Group
