Das Landvolk Hannover vertritt die Interessen von knapp 3.500 Mitgliedern gegenüber der Politik, der Presse und den Behörden. Damit repräsentiert der Verband mehr als 90 Prozent der Landwirte und der Eigentümer landwirtschaftlicher Flächen in der Region und der Stadt Hannover. Das Verbandsgebiet umfasst gut 80.000 Hektar landwirtschaftlich genutzte Fläche.
Für die Verrichtung der Aufgaben, wie die Beratung der Mitglieder und Hilfeleistung zum Beispiel bei der Antragstellung, unterhält das Landvolk Hannover seine Geschäftsstelle in Ahlem und die landwirtschaftliche Buchstelle in Burgdorf.
