• The NZ Police Recruitment Facebook page is for everyone to enjoy and we hope you can share your experiences positively. So if you're posting a comment, video or picture, keep in mind that if we see anything rude or offensive; is hateful or demeans any person or group; personally attacks an individual; could be considered spam or advertising; then your post may be deleted. In some cases you may be removed from the page. At its discretion, NZ Police may remove any posts which conflict with the values of NZ Police.
•No-one except authorised NZ Police social media moderators
should include an NZ Police logo, insignia, or recognisable NZ Police equipment or uniform in their profile picture.
• As a recruit, you may be exposed to sensitive information during the recruitment process. You need to be very careful about what you
share on social media or talk about with your friends afterwards.
It's OK to share your recruitment experiences, but YOU MUST NOT in any circumstances share confidential information relating to Police personnel policies, records, or dealings; any personal information
about people you learn in the course of the recruitment process;
or any information relating to persons of interest to the Police.
For candidates participating in SCOPE, do not publish your SCOPE
experiences where they could identify a specific officer, location, time, place, victim or incident. Remember, you will be assessed during the recruitment process, so always keep in mind the Police's organisational values of integrity, respect and professionalism.
• Be wary about how you share your personal information. To maintain your privacy we recommend you do not publicly publish your personal information such as your email or phone number on this page. If you need to swap contact details then consider using private messages.
• For general advice on how to keep yourself safe on Facebook go to www.facebook.com/safety
• If you want to provide information about a crime or report a crime please do not post your information here. You will need to contact your local police station by phone or in person. Alternatively you can provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
• In an emergency always call 111. Never use Facebook to report an emergency.
• If you would prefer to ask a question in private and you are living in Northland, Auckland, Counties Manukau, Waitemata or Waikato you should email uppernorthrecruiting@police.govt.nz . If you live in any other NZ region then you can email lowernorthrecruiting@police.govt.nz
