津軽金山焼には、現代に生きる私達の心を潤す温もりがあります。
金山の大溜池の底に堆積していた良質の粘土、
山林には風雪に耐えてきた大量の赤松。
陶芸に最適な資源を得ることと、自然を整え生かすことを心に。
かつてこの地にあった須恵器の強い影響を受けた津軽金山焼は
釉薬を一切使わずに、1300度の高温でじっくりと焼きあげて固める
「焼き締め」の手法で、深みのある独特の風合いをそなえた焼き物を
生んできました。
土と炎と、作家の情熱･･････
津軽金山焼は、人と自然が織りなす焼き物づくりの原点をみつめ
