五能線沿線連絡協議会は、1990年1月19日に五能線活性化を図るとともに沿線地域の発展を目的として発足しました。
会員は、能代市・八峰町（以上、秋田県）、深浦町・鰺ヶ沢町・つがる市・五所川原市・鶴田町・板柳町・藤崎町・（以上、青森県）、JR東日本秋田支社で構成されております。
■主な活動実績
・観光沿線マップ作成（平成5年～平成6年）
・五能線及び青森県に関わる観光イベント、キャンペーン協賛
・五能線フォトコンテスト（平成7年～平成16年）
・五能線写真集作成（平成17年）
・五能線全線開通70周年イベント協賛（平成17年）
・五能線カレンダー作成（平成24年）
・五能線フォトコンテスト（平成25年）
・「五能線の旅」パンフレット作成（平成16年～現在）
