元々西洋家具が中心だった当社が、アンティークを取り扱うようになったのが今から約25年前。「お越しいただいたお客様に、ヨーロッパの片田舎を思わせるような雰囲気の中でご覧いただけたら」、そんな強い思いから、15年前それまで街中にあったお店を福島市郊外の吾妻山麓に移しました。初めは何も無い雑木林だった現在の店舗周辺も、今では教会を中心に周囲を緑に囲まれた素適なエリアに成長しました。 自然溢れる環境の中、福島市内を一望できる170坪の店内で、ゆったりとした癒しの時間をお過ごし下さい。ヴァセリンガラスとは、１９世紀中ごろから２０世紀初頭までの約５０年間しか製造されなかった乳白色が何とも美しいアンティークガラスです。新しいものでも約１００年は経っている為、現存するものにも限りがあり、今日では大変貴重なガラスとなっております。「家具のこばやし」では、その中でも特に綺麗なものを厳選して、本場イギリスより買い付けて来ており、品揃えは国内トップクラスを自負しております。
