General information

RIM Intelligence was established in 1984 to cover oil markets in the Pacific Rim, as inferred from its name, at the industry's request for a price index in oil markets after the oil crises in the 1970s. Since the establishment, our focus has been on markets in Asia and the Middle East. We have continued offering the RIM price from swift and accurate information-gathering through the network we have developed.
社名でもある「リム」とは言葉の意味「環」が示すように、1984年に環太平洋地域、いわゆる「パシフィック・リム」の石油マーケットをカバーするための会社として設立しました。設立の経緯は、オイルショック後に「石油市場における指標となるもの(価格のインデックス)がほしい」との業界の要望を受けてのものです。設立以降、アジア地域、アラブ地域などに足場を置き、独自の取材網で得た最新のマーケット情報をもとに、「リム価格」を迅速かつ的確に提供し続けています。
