平安神宮の公式サイト。1895年平安遷都1100年を期に市民の総社として創建。平安京の正庁(朝堂院)を模した朱塗りの社殿が美しく平安京の雅な雰囲気が漂う。本殿を囲む約3万㎡におよぶ回遊式庭園、神苑は、春の紅しだれ桜や初夏の花菖蒲等、四季折々に美しい景色が広がる。毎年10月22日の時代祭は平安神宮の祭礼で、京都三大祭の一つ。また大鳥居は京都・岡崎のランドマークとして広く知られ多くの人が訪れる
