山田水産有明事業所は2005年、日本で初めて鰻の無投薬養殖を実現しました。鰻養殖では、一般的に、病気やその予防を目的として何種類かの薬品が使われています。しかし、わたしたちは、「安心・安全な鰻をお客様に提供したい」という想いから、無投薬養殖へ挑戦しました。取り組み当初は、45％もの鰻を失うこともありましたが、決してひるむことなく、稚魚から成鰻まで完全無投薬の養殖に成功しました。
