General information
Discovery College commenced operation in August 2007 from temporary premises in Lai King for one year. DC opened in its new, purpose-built campus in Discovery Bay in August 2008. Growing by one year level annually, in August 2013 the College became a full Years 1 to 13 (K-12) school.
Discovery College is an IB World School, fully authorised to offer the PYP, MYP and Diploma programmes. At full capacity, Discovery College will have 720 primary (Year 1-6) students and 840 secondary (Year 7-13). Academic, Sporting and Performing Arts scholarship are offered across all secondary year levels.
Discovery College is located on the northeastern coast of Lantau Island, but students are not required to live in Discovery Bay to attend. The school welcomes applications of all students who meet the eligibility criteria. DC is operated by an affiliate company of Hong Kong’s English Schools Foundation (ESF).
