General information

Davidoss & co was established way back in the year 1919 having keen interest in textile retailing and wholesaling. It opened its first retail outlet on Commercial Street which is heart of retail business in Bangalore.

As part of business development, Davidoss & Co incorporated an additional company called Arjay Agencies in the year 1979 with core interest in wholesale textile business. Later on, they diversified their business plan in to retailing in the year 1989 in strategic business alliance with Madura Garments (One of the leading Branded Apparel Manufacturing Companies in India). It opened its first branded retail outlet called “Planet Fashion “with an area covering5,500 Sqft with high end fashion branded apparel retail on Commercial Street, Bangalore, which houses international premium brands like Louis Philippe, Van-Heusen, Allen SOLLY in its stable. This store has been ranked as No.1 and First Store in India by our business partner (Madura Garments) in various parameters.

Later, in the year 2003 this group forayed in to home entertainment and consumer durables business associated with Sony India under its sister concern Arjay Electronics. which has two mega high end retail Sony Center brand outlet with around 3200 Sqftand 1500 Sqft selling high end Sony products like Laptops, Home Theatres, Television Sets, Audio Systems etc. It has opened its third mega high end Sony outlet under the banner
ARJAY RETAIL in the prime location of Bangalore which is of 2500 sqft in the year 2008.

In order to expand their retail business and to counter the competition, they opened third entity under the name Kunal Agencies in the year 2005. Retailing of branded apparels for Louis Phillip, Van HEUSEN, and Allen Solly at shopping malls in Bangalore with the total allotment of6,800 Sqft retail space in different measurements.
Further to the expansion under Kunal Agencies an exclusive VANHEUSEN STORE OF 3,500 Sqft was set up on Commercial Street, which is a very high street for retail business in the year 2009.
