For us, at RACHA, however, the true search began with our attempt to understand Khadi as not just a mere fabric, but to understand Khadi as a thought. Being Khadi enthusiasts, ‘Namma Khadi’ translates into a way of life for us. It brings about a true sense of feeling one and at home with it. It is with a sense of pride that we identify ourselves with the character of Khadi. The versatility and ease with which khadi lends itself to absorb and enhance the beauty of any local craft is not only fascinating, but a humbling experience. For us, it is about weaving the soul together with the yarn, which ultimately forms an integral part of our utilitarian merchandise. While we work to redefine and rediscover Khadi, we absorb the warmth as well as the imperfections of life, which the coarse nature of the fabric intersperses effortlessly into its warp and weft. This reflects in our ideas that translate into products to celebrate the spirit of the soul; of the individual and of the thought. A thought inspired by a simple spinning wheel that spun a revolution. At RACHA, it is this spirit of Khadi that we celebrate.
